Some months, I don’t get to blog as much as I want to. Even if I’m not writing blog posts or posting on social media, my brain is always in blogger mode. I’m constantly looking for new things to try and review. There were a bunch of products I didn’t get to review this month (But I did review drugstore highlighters under $5 and lip glosses for people who hate lip gloss!) that I still wanted to give some love and attention to, so I thought I’d give you a break down of what worked, what didn’t, and what was just okay.
I’m not highlighter crazy. I have a couple very strong, in your face, baBAM highlighters in my collection, but they don’t get much use. I only use them on nights out and Lord knows I haven’t had one of those in a million years. I tend to go for subtle highlights that make my skin look like it has some radiance and my favorites happen to be from the drugstore. Oh, and they’re under five dollars. I also included a little more of an intense highlight for those of you who are more daring than me.
What year is it again? According to what I’m wearing on my lips it’s 2007. I entered high school ten years ago with a tube of CoverGirl Wetslicks Lip Gloss and the hope that I wouldn’t do anything to embarrass myself. I definitely left both of those things in 2007. The embarrassment thing when I stepped on the sleeve of my jacket in between classes and slid around a crowded hallway like Bambi on ice. Embarrassment is inevitable. But the gloss? Yeah, I gave up on that after getting my hair stuck on my mouth one too many times. Now it’s 2017 and the gloss is back. I’m tired of overly matte lips for everyday and I have rounded up the best neutral lip glosses for people who hate lip gloss.
