24 Reasons Gratitude

Last Saturday was my 24th birthday. This is the time where people take the opportunity to write about things they’ve learned in their X amount of years, but I’m not sure I’d know what to say. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve learned a lot, but I don’t feel ready to do that. I do feel ready to show gratitude. If there’s one thing I know, it’s that I have so much to be thankful for. I’ve lived an incredibly blessed life and think this is the perfect time to reflect on 24 things I am grateful for.

  1. My close relationship with my parents
  2. Having supportive friends
  3. Becoming even closer with B’s family
  4. Learning to live on my own
  5. Being more confident in my body wherever it’s at
  6. The opportunity to live in a variety of places
  7. The many chances I’ve had to try new things
  8. Meeting someone I am so deeply in love with so early in life
  9. Having access to amazing healthcare that’s helped me through injuries and health issues
  10. Traveling to places I never thought I’d be able to visit (Iceland, DC, Japan)
  11. Seeing my favorite bands and singers multiple times with people I love
  12. Being able to pull off my bangs even into my young adulthood
  13. Access to technology throughout my entire life
  14. Family and friends who are supportive and understanding of my mental health issues
  15. Having my blog as an incredible outlet to express myself
  16. My adorable car that has kept me safe and brought me from point A to point B without issue
  17. All the life changing books I’ve read
  18. Having the opportunity to further my education and receive my bachelor’s degree
  19. My amazing friends I’ve made through all my moves
  20. The sweetest pets I’ve had the honor of owning that have all added joy and comfort to my life
  21. Parents who encouraged me not to give up and try everything I could
  22. The many dance teachers, riding instructors, and professors that helped me build confidence in myself
  23. Learning new things everyday
  24. The gift of life for 24 years

The last couple of years I’ve literally started my life over at the beginning of every year. This year we moved to Colorado. The year before we moved to Virginia. 2018 I’ll be moving to LA.

I have a really good feeling about my 24th year. 22 and 23 were my character development phases and 24 is going to be all plot. I’m going to make it all plot.

Happy belated Birthday! 🍷🎈🎂Twenty-four is a great age to be. I often wish I could go back to my mid-twenties and experience them differently than I did. I’m glad you have so much to be thankful for and hope you can live these years to the fullest and with freedom to enjoy them with your friends, family, and your guy.

    Cheers
