Guess who is sliding back into her blogging groove? It feels so good to be sitting down at the computer typing out my thoughts. Since it’s been super inconsistent these last couple months, I thought I’d keep it simple and get back into the whole thing by showing you what’s new in my beauty and skincare arsenal.
Glossier has been a brand that I’ve admired from a distance. I love the aesthetic, I love the concepts behind the products, but I haven’t felt the need to buy in. It wasn’t until the release of Wowder that they had a product in their line I felt I needed to try. It’s meant to mattify in a natural way and minimize pores while keeping the skin from looking flat. As an oily girl, it sounded to good to be true. I didn’t just want to get one thing (you get free shipping when you buy 2+ items) so picked up the Generation G in Zip and the Boy Brow in Black. Oh, and here’s a sweet 10% off your purchase for anything Glossier from me to you.
Nars is an investment brand for me. Before this “little” dip into more of their face products, I
owned the Sheer Glow Foundation, Blush in Dolce Vita, and Velvet Matte lip pencil in Cruella. I want a light base to wear at work that can keep up with my oily skin so I decided to try the Pore & Shine Control Primer and the Velvet Matte Skin Tint. They sound like exactly
the kind of products I need in my arsenal. I decided to get the Soft Matte Concealer to go with the whole matte thing I’ve got going on. I’ve never tried a Nars concealer before so fingers crossed I love it!
I know everyone loves the Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray, but I actually find that rose irritates my skin. The soothing ingredients in the Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea work amazingly for my skin! It’s refreshing and calming. Extra nice if you keep it in the fridge.
Remember my Skincare Wishlist for Oily Skin? There was one thing I actually purchased before that post was even published because I apparently have no patience, the It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream. It is more amazing than I initially let on. The gel/cream soaks in quickly, but leaves my under eyes well hydrated. You need the smallest amount ever so I can see it lasting me for quite some time.
I wouldn’t have picked up the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Inks if it wasn’t for this video on 5 Must Try Drugstore Products. I’m so glad I did because they’re pretty amazing. I have the shades Heroine, a punchy red orange, and escapist, a deep and moody plum. They are probably my favorite matte liquid lipsticks from the drugstore yet!
