My makeup collection may not be the same size as the typical person’s collection, but my skincare collection is fairly small. My skin’s needs change fairly often, especially with my move to Colorado, the land of the driest air ever. I’ve been searching high and low for products that could sort out my skin and created an early 20s skincare wishlist targeted at my oily skin. My oily skin that’s constantly breaking out.
I pushed eye treatments to the back burner early this year. I can’t tell you why. I guess it’s mostly because I didn’t have an eye product I loved so much to use again. I’ve heard amazing things about the First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy Treatment and would love to have it as a part of my morning skincare routine. It’s supposed to be refreshing and cooling with its metal tip applicator.
Another great day-time eye cream option is the Origins A Perfect World Eye Firming Moisture Treatment. It’s antioxidant rich and contains “irritation free” SPF 20. Not sure how it’s irritation free, but I’d love to find out. Plus, you know I have always loved Origins. They’re an old favorite that never disappoints.
Okay, so I actually just invested in this one. The It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream has easily found its place in my nighttime routine. The gel texture absorbs quickly and hydrates incredibly well. I use it day and night for now until I invest in an eye cream for day and it works just fine.
The Ordinary The Buffet is a peptide serum meant to target multiple signs of aging. I guess I’m entering the time period in which you should start using anti-aging products? So I’m trying to start incorporating more of those kinds of products. My current anti-aging regimen actually includes The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% and I really enjoy using it.
My skin keeps getting clogged and congested. Layers of product and SPF will do that. The Ordinary Niacinamide is meant to clear up all of that nasty stuff in your pores and balance sebum production.
Sunday Riley isn’t a brand I’ve ever tried before. It’s developed a cult following for it’s oils and serums. They came out with a couple of products targeted for oily skin last year and the Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water-gel Toner really caught my eye. It apparently starts as a gel and turns into a toner that balances the oily areas of the skin while adding hydration.
I had never heard of the brand Anese before, but the Pretty Sure I’m Gorgeous Clarifying Charcoal Creme Mask sounds like an oily person’s dream. It’s a charcoal mask with hyaluronic acid that’s gentle, but still works on blemishes and pores. Sounds like magic in a jar. I need to try it.
For the days when my skin needs hydration and calming, I’m thinking the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask could help soothe everything. Oatmeal is known for being magical fore irritated skin and I’m sure all of my redness and angry blemishes would appreciate some calming.
Like I mentioned before, my skin is going through it. Through all sorts of crap at all different times. The Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask is all about fixing things up. Clearing up the skin, adding glow, evening texture, and refining pore size. Sounds like magic to me.
