Nothing makes me happier than finding something at a low price that’s amazing quality. When I look at my makeup collection, I find that most of my favorite products are actually from the drugstore. The drugstore these days is more expensive than ever before and I honestly can’t be bothered to spend $15 on a product from from the drugstore that’s average when I can get amazing products for $10 or less.
The newest love of mine are the Revlon ColorStay Creme Shadows | review | because of their incredible formula and how simple they are to use. If you don’t have one of these yet, you should go take a look at the shades yourself. I love having Black Currant, a shimmery lavender, for easy nighttime looks and Chocolate is amazing for everyday.
I never thought I’d wear lipgloss again until I stumbled upon Rimmel’s Oh My Gloss in Snog. The formula is nourishing and not sticky at all. The shade is flattering and looks amazing on its own or on any of my favorite nude lipsticks. The Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Kit has been featured in 2 months of monthly favorites (here and here) for a reason. It literally does it all. The highlight is reminiscent of theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and the blush is a less shimmery dupe for Nars Orgasm. The bronzer works as bronzer and contour.
Maybe you don’t need an entire kit. Maybe you’re in the market for a lit-from-within drugstore highlighter. Well, Wet n Wild has got you covered. The Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana isn’t a bronzer at all, but a soft and buttery powder highlight. I flirt with other highlighters here and there, but I always come back to it. It can look incredibly natural or be built up to be a bit more bold, but it always looks skin-like.
You all know about my very real love for the e.l.f. Blemish Control Primer | review | already, but it’s worth mentioning because it’s that good. I wish the packaging was less bulky only because all of the plastic isn’t necessary. The e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator is another makeup bag staple of mine, but I recently tried the mint flavor and loved it! I might even love it more than the original.
Speaking of products I can’t live without, the CoverGirl Super Sizer Waterproof mascara is still knocking my socks off almost 2 years later. So many new mascaras have come out since it first stepped out on the scene, but nothing is better. Nothing gives flake-free length and volume like it does.
The only setting spray I’ll ever need is the NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray | review |. It keeps my makeup from breaking down over time and can make a powdery face look natural. I have to have a fresh bottle of it in my arsenal at all times or else my makeup bag just feels incomplete.
The Maybelline Better Skin Concealer is my secret weapon. It works magic on blemishes, redness, and tired under eyes to make my skin look fresh and flawless. The formula feels expensive, but you’re not even spending $10 on it. (That’s probably why I have it in 4 shades!)
