I’m not sure what came over me, but when we came home to Virginia from Florida, I wanted to get rid of everything. We had just lived out of our suitcases for a month without any problems so coming home to our overflowing closet and my full-to-the-brim beauty collection made me think it was time to do some decluttering. We’ve gone through all of our clothing and donated everything we didn’t want to our local GoodWill, but I’ve been putting off going through my makeup. It has been a hot minute since I decluttered any of my beauty products and things are just getting out of hand. It’s time to get back into it and we’re starting with a lip liner lip gloss chubby stick declutter.
To find out what didn’t make the cut, you’ll have to watch the video, but let’s talk about a couple of things I ended up keeping. Lip gloss isn’t something I’ve consistently used since high school. I hate to say it, but I’m getting back into it these days and I’m so glad I hung onto the Rimmel Oh My Gloss in Snog. The formula is soft and smooth with absolutely zero stickiness.
I have a very small amount of lip liners because I haven’t always thought they were necessary. These days, I know a lip liner can extend longevity and prevent feathering so I kept a couple of basic shades like MAC Soar and Milani Color Statement Lip Liner in Spice.
Chubby sticks were all the rage a couple years back and I’ve ended up with a handful that never get much use. I kept a couple of the fun shades that I really enjoyed using in the past like the NYX Simply Vamp in Temptress and got rid of the more blue based pinks that don’t flatter my skin tone much.
