A High End Fall Beauty Wishlist.

High End Fall Beauty Wishlist

When we still lived in Florida, switching up my makeup bag was one of my favorite ways to fake the changing of seasons. I was sweating my butt off year round, but my face was as Fall/Winter as possible. Now that we’re in Virginia, we’re actually experiencing seasons! Although I don’t need to fake the weather change, I do still want to change the products I’m using to fit the weather and my very autumnal mood.

I’m a matte skin girl almost year round because I’m so oily, but in the Autumn I really look to have perfected skin. I’ve always heard amazing things about the MAC Studio Fix concealer and I don’t know why I haven’t tried it yet. The coverage is apparently other worldly, but still keeps things looking natural? How? I need to find out. The Too Faced Primed and Poreless is exactly what I need to achieve that blurred skin effect. Everyone brags about its smooth texture and ability to really create a flawless finish. I need some of that magic. The Nars Dolce Vita blush has been on my list for a few years now and I think it’s time to pick it up. It’s a dusty rose that’s not too warm or too cool. Perfect for everyday. What’s a glam look without a good glow? I swatch the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle every time I’m at the MAC counter and ooh and ahh at the shimmer and glow. It’s seriously ethereal. I’d love to feel like a fall fairy and I think this highlighter would do it.
My Autumn lip looks are either extremely vampy or moody and nude. I’m a big fan of the Smashbox Be Legendary Matte Lipsticks. Safe Word is my go to nude not only because the shade is perfect, but because the texture is incredible.  If my wallet was forever overflowing, I would buy every shade, but I think for Autumn, my one and only would be the shade in Screen Queens. Speaking of Safe Word, I think the perfect gloss shade for it would be the Anastasia Beverly Hills Gloss in Tara. I don’t think I need to justify this one much. It’s named after me and I want it. A true 90s nude I’m coveting is Urban Decay’s 1993. 1993 comes as a 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil and as a Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick. It’s an amazing medium brown that feels so right for this time of year.
I love Anna. Her blog has been fairly recently updated and I’m just obsessed. She recently put up a post all about her top lash tips and products and I was sucked in. I know she’s been using the Fairy Drops Scandal Queen mascara for ages now, but I always forget to look into it. Apparently it’s the best volumizing mascara that lasts and lasts. Sounds like my kind of mascara.
