Ahh, September. A time of transition. The weather is changing, my motivation to attempt to be fit is waning, and I’m wearing more sweaters. The best kind of transitions. I spent more quality time with B, played with tons of makeup, and took more care of myself last month. It’s made me a very happy girl and I’m excited to get into these September favorites.
I had a bit of a makeup crisis this month. I had been using the CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream for Oily Skin all month because I seriously love it. Love it to pieces. I filmed a video of my everyday work makeup, got to the end, took a good look in the view finder, and realized I looked ridiculous. My face was at least 2 shades too dark and looked pink as hell. My confidence was shot. I grabbed a friend and shuttled my pink face to Macy’s to get matched at the Estee Lauder counter. I wanted something that felt light on the skin, didn’t get gross over time on my oily skin, and had some coverage. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in Intensity 3.0 has seriously ticked all the boxes. I’m still testing it with different tools, but a full review is on the way!
Everyone and their mother has been on the liquid lipstick train for forever now. I’m a little late to the station, but I bought a ticket and I’m finally boarding. Enough with this weird train analogy thing. The point is, I’m finally loving liquid lips. The Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in yaassss is an obvious fave, but I’ve been wearing the NYX Liquid Suede in Jet Set when I’m feeling extra bold. Since it’s been feeling a little more autumnal out, I’ve been wearing the Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Gorgeous with soft eye makeup looks. I think I should do a liquid lipstick collection/review situation in the future to really give you all my thoughts.
The Birkenstock Arizona slide ons are love. Pure, pure love. I wear them constantly. If I could wear them at work, I would. My feet have never been more comfortable and trendy looking in a sandal. I am so excited to have these because I know I’m going to be able to wear them for season after season. Except maybe not this winter.
