Statement Making Purple Lipsticks for Any Skin Tone.

Statement Making Purple Lipsticks - Any Skin Tone
You know those days when your lip color isn’t doing it for you? I seem to have been having a lot of those recently. Red feels like too much for everyday. Nude is starting to feel incredibly boring. I’m not a huge pink person, but purple? I love a purple. Purples have been my go to shade when I need a pick me up and a couple of purples in particular have been really floating my boat.

I toyed with the idea of buying the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Ayesha for months. It was this gorgeous look from Linda Hallberg that made me realize I needed Ayesha. I desperately needed it. It’s a moody lavender that pairs well with soft peach or pink blushes and a thin cat eye.

Aren’t Milani matte lipsticks the best? They’re moisturizing, but matte and long-lasting for a traditional lipstick. Matte Glam is a warmer, more wearable purple shade. I love to wear it with metallic bronze eyes and lashings of mascara.

Are you ready for a blast from the (not so distant) past? I have been wearing the Revlon Matte Balm in Shameless for years now and there’s no end in sight. It’s warmer than Milani’s Matte Glam, but it’s much deeper. It’s more of a satin finish than a matte, but it makes wearing such a vampy shade so comfortable. I love pairing this shade with a very simple eye look. Think the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.

My favorite. The pièce de résistance. The Tarte tarteist Lip Paint in yaassss. I’ve sung its praises before for a reason. This is my top pick for a statement making purple because of its incredible texture and vibrant, neon pigment. It never fades, but if it rubs away from eating, it leaves behind a hot pink stain that looks just as bomb as the original shade. I get the most compliments on this shade because it’s so unique. I’m loving it so much, I think I’m going to need to invest in the coordinating lip liner.
