Minimal Morning Skincare Routine Oily Skin

You know those mornings where you think you have all the time in the world so you have a big breakfast, start some laundry, read for a while, and then realize you need to be out the door in 15 minutes? That happens to me more often then I’d like to admit. I don’t like to skimp on the skincare. I really like to take my time and layer products on, but on rushed days, I don’t have the time to wait for things to sink in. Since I don’t always wake up on time, I’ve collected a couple of skincare products that do the job and do it well when I’m running late.

I like to use a calming cleanser in the morning to refresh and cleanse my skin. The Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Face Cleanser is definitely my pick. I first tried it in December of last year and it completely transformed my skin. I had been using too harsh of a cleanser without realizing it so using something much more gentle really changed the game.

If there’s one thing I forget to do in the morning, it’s put on some sunscreen. Of course, when I’m in a rush, a lot of my typical skincare routine flies out the window. Using the RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 Daily Moisturizer makes sure that I get in all the essential steps without being late to work. It has broad spectrum SPF 30 that doesn’t make my oily skin greasy. Plus, it’s got a bunch of anti-aging magic in it.

I need a refreshing eye cream for tired morning eyes. The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Swirl Gel Cream is pretty good for rushed mornings because of how quickly it sinks into the skin. It has an iridescence to it that makes the whole under eye area look more brightened and awake.

i use mega mushroom serum every day, and i’ve noticed a huge change — it totally calms my skin and reduces redness. i’m so glad i found it! do you find that the cleanser has a similar effect?

I do! I was using the cleanser and the “facial lotion” (I think that’s what it was called, but it was really just toner) together and my skin just calmed down and became perfect.

Minimal skincare routines are the best! I try not to go overboard on skincare products in the morning or at night, the ‘Mega-Mushroom’ seems like it works really well, I may have to give that a try sometime!
