A Truly Mini Urban Decay Haul.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Naked Skin Concealer amongst beauty products

I have a pretty limited collection of products from Urban Decay, but the things I do have, I love. Their shadows, lip liners, primer potions, and lipsticks have really impressed me, but I want to delve into their line a bit more. My best buddy, Kim, actually uses a lot from their range and gave me some recommendations. I walked out of Ulta with a couple of Urban Decay minis and after using them for a few days, I’ve got some thoughts.

I have been conflicted about purchasing the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer for such a long time. For some it’s their holy grail and for others, it’s a complete fail.  I have to say it’s not the end-all be-all for me. The coverage is good and the color Medium-Light Neutral is definitely my shade, but I have beef with the finish. I don’t have particularly dry under eyes, but this makes me look like my under eyes are the Sahara desert. I can make it work by using an extremely hydrating eye cream, but I’ve also got oily skin so it can very easily all become a huge mess. When I can make it work, I like it, but I don’t love it.

I had extremely high expectations for the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara. People love this stuff. They swear it’s the only mascara you’ll ever need, but I’d have to disagree. I love how black the formula is and the brush separates, extends, and adds volume. My issue is the fact that the initial, gorgeous curl it gives my lashes falls in 10 minutes. If it could stay looking as nice as it did upon first application, I would use it daily.

I also want to take a second to thank you guys for the amazing response on my post on how I gained followers. You all seem to have found it helpful and are giving awesome tips and feedback in the comments. You make me smile.

I have the same problem with that concealer, same as Nars radiant concealer. Idk if I need a heavier base around my eyes but Estee Lauder DW seems to work fine even if it’s a matte finish.

Nice haul. I like the Urban Decay spray on makeup setter for oily skin. I just tried the small version and was quite pleased. Although, I am trying the much cheaper NYX spray, giving a mat finish and I’m also pretty pleased. I thought it might make me break out but it’s been really good. Thanks for sharing your items.

I love the mascara. It makes me look like I’m wearing falsies. I have naturally long curled lashes though. They like to curl into my eye balls so mascara is necessary every day to set my lashes so they don’t inflict pain. I hate getting lashes in my eyes!

do you have a concealer you like better? i agree – UD has my shade, but i have dry skin to begin with, and it doesn’t help things! i’d love to try something new, that’s still easy to blend but doesn’t dry so… dry.
