July Favorites.

Philips Sonicare Series 2, Pokemon GO, Fitbit Alta

July feels like it lasted forever. I don’t know if it’s because I worked a lot or because we did so much, but oh man, it flew by and I’m exhausted. I did wear a bunch of makeup this month, but my favorites are random techy things that have been making me smile.

I’ve been an inactive little donut hole for months now and I’m tired of it. When I started working more often, I noticed my feet were killing me from running around all day and I wondered how many steps I was getting in. Enter the Fitbit Alta. It’s a step counter, but also works as a watch. My favorite parts? It reminds me to get moving when I’m inactive, tracks my sleep, and sends me text notifications.

This isn’t the first time I’m mentioning a toothbrush on B&B and if I continue to love this new one, it won’t be the last. I used to use a small, battery powered electric toothbrush in the past, but after a while I felt like it didn’t work as well as it did when I first purchased it. B and I got the Sonicare 2 Series toothbrushes in May and I’ve fallen in love with mine. It has a Smartimer that lets me know when to move to another area of my mouth and give all my teeth the attention they need.

Who’s surprised that I love Pokemon GO? The game gets me motivated to be outside and walk around more, but it also fulfills a weird dream for me. Back in the day, my childhood friends and I would create trainer personas and pretend we were on the road to Viridian City. We would bring all our Pokemon plushies out to a nearby golf course and pretend to battle and catch Pokemon. Nostalgia is huge these days and this game has definitely been appealing to my inner child. I get to do the same thing without stuffing my closet full of stuffed animals. (PS Team Mystic or get out, okay?) (PPS Just kidding.)
