I guess I’ve really been feeling myself this fall because this is my second autumnal themed makeup look this year. Autumn for me is usually about shimmery golds and bronzes, but I’ve been into matte, slightly defined eyes and a bold lip. A few of the products from my last look are used again in this look too because they’re just too good.
The skin care gods are on my side for yet another month so I didn’t actually have too much to correct and conceal (#blessed). I have a little texture on my cheeks by my nose due to my pores so I applied some of the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. I haven’t used this in ages and I’m so glad I rediscovered it because it’s basically magic in a pot. I smoothed and buffed some of my new favorite, the It Cosmetics CC cream in Medium. It feels like every US and UK beauty blogger is raving about this at the minute and I totally understand why. I want to do a thorough review on it so I won’t get in on the details now, but know it’s just as fantastic as it seems. I dabbed some of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Medium under my eyes for brighten things up and set my entire face with the Rimmel Stay Matte in translucent. I think I’m losing interest in the Rimmel Stay Matte because it gives such a powdery finish, but it does the job for now.
I brushed some of the Anastasia Dip Brow pomade in Dark Brown to give my brows a little something extra (I used it in my brow routine.). I used a little combination of the Wet n Wild blush in Mellow Wine and MAC’s Warm Soul blush for and autumnal flush to the cheeks with a little sheen. For even more natural sheen, I swept some of Wet n Wild’s Reserve Your Cabana on the tops of my cheeks. I pulled out the NYX Blush in Taupe to chisel out some cheekbones. I lightly buffed the Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster on to warm things up and moved onto the eyes.
I went for something really simple with some shades from the Lorac Pro palette. Cream all over the lids, taupe in the crease, and light bronze in the inner corner. Done and dusted. I defined my upper lash line with the MAC Blacktrack Fluidline and tight-lined my water line with the Milani Supreme Kohl Kajal Liner.
I think if I include another one of these posts anytime soon I’ll try and show you that goldy bronze look I talked about because I have been wearing it a ton.
We shall talk soon.
