Hey there bow friends,
If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know the kind of love I have for my brows. I have stuck to the same brow routine for a few years, but I ended up exploring a bunch of different brow products this summer and I think I’ve found some new favorites. I didn’t think anything could rival my affection for MAC Mystery, but the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brow may have changed the game.
The formula of this brow pomade is incredibly creamy and workable. If I make a little mistake I can wipe it away with my finger or a Q-tip if I work fast. The product is very easily blended and sets on its own after a few minutes. I still apply my brows with the MAC 266 Angled Brush and a spoolie brush because I find I get the most control that way and I can take my time if I need to.
The fantastic part of this product is that I can create different brow shapes with ease. I normally follow my natural brow shape (or else I’m totally useless at putting on brows), but when I do get a little adventurous, I find that I can actually get different brow shapes that don’t look ridiculous. If you’re someone who has to build up your own brows, I feel like this would be the perfect product to do it.
I would normally show you how I apply this in photo format, but I’ve actually just put up a video filled with demos of my brow routine using a few different products. I think a video would be more helpful anyways.
I think this brow routine will follow me into Fall/Winter because I love a bolder brow during cooler weather. I like to pair them with a “minimal” (usually shimmery gold shadows and gel liner) eye look and a bold lip. I’m sure there’s some kind of beauty rule that you shouldn’t pair a bold brow and bold lip or bold eye together, but that honestly means nothing to me. I’m getting a bit rebellious with my beauty routine and I hope you guys are enjoying it.
We shall talk soon!
