Monthly Resolutions 3.

New Year's Festive CrownHey there bow friends!

Conveniently enough, New Years is a time in which we all make resolutions for the year.  I find that doesn’t work for me so I’ve been doing these monthly resolutions (1, 2) and I’m finding it’s going kind of well.  There’s always room for improvement!  Before we get into January resolutions, let’s talk December.

December

  • Budget, budget, budget – This went perfectly once I realized how bleh being broke feels.  Christmas went perfectly and I don’t think I spent too much.  I’m going to start saving more than I have in the past and hopefully that goes well too.
  • Continue to make time for yourself – Oh this definitely happened.  After finals, I got a massage and continued to pamper myself through out the month.  I’m on a kick of spoiling myself right now (within reason) and it feels good.
  • Keep it clean – And I was successful yet again!  Well, 2/3 isn’t bad.  After going through all of that laundry, my room stayed pretty tidy.  Before I get back to school, my closet is going to experience a major clean out.  It all needs to go.  As far as my potty mouth goes, I think I’m doing better.  Not perfect, but better.  I think that’s what counts.  Clean eating? What’s that?  I’ve been pretty rubbish at this one, but another month means another chance to try and do and be better.

So I did way better last month!  I’m really excited about that.  This month I’m going to be a little stricter with myself so I can get back into the groove of being productive and happy.

January

  • Scrub up – I have been very naughty with my skincare routine this last month.  So lazy.  I’ve been relying on face wipes after long makeup days and I’m pretty disappointed in myself for it.  I need to get back into double cleansing and maybe I can inspire myself to do it by looking into some new cleansers.  Hmm.
  • Eat like you’re worth it – I’ve been working my butt off in the gym this last month and plan on continuing on that path.  As we all know, muscle weighs more than fat and to be honest I’ve gained more muscle than lost fat.  So I’m at my all time highest weight.  Ever.  It’s a little disconcerting, but I won’t stop.  You can’t out train a bad diet and I can first hand tell you that’s definitely true.  I’m going to start eating to take care of and nourish my body as I should have been all along.
  • Push through – It’s my last semester of undergrad (Yeah, send me all the support and ramen as fast as you can.) and I need to finish with a bang.  I want to make myself proud and I plan on following through on this one..

What are your New Year’s resolutions?  How do you plan on carrying them through?  I’m trying to get some kind of game plan in action to conquer all of my resolutions to the best of my abilities.  Have any tips for me?  Share them all please.

We shall talk soon!  Good luck!

Way to go with all your goals sounds like you’re doing great. Someone told me once for in the gym that as you work out your body needs less food, not more like we all tend to do, because your fitter and actually skinner even though you have more muscle. Just a thought I know when I use to work out hard core once I stopped eating all the extra snacks from works things went better. Goodluck!

Thank you so much! Well, as you work out you burn calories. Although it’s always smart to eat moderate portions, when you work out it’s actually important to eat a little more. You want to make sure you maintaining a healthy amount of nutrient intake. Have to make sure you’re eating enough and keeping healthy.

Congratulations on obtaining your goals! Clean eating has always been a tough one for me. I try to cut back on certain things but, do not completely eliminate everything. Good luck on your next set of resolutions!
